Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in manufacturing or fabrication, within semiconductor fabrication.
  • 3 years of supervisory/management experience in a manufacturing environment, within semiconductor fabrication.
  • Ability to work non-standard hours, including working weekends, holidays and on shift-based schedules as required.
Preferred qualifications:
  • 5 years of experience with semiconductor fabrication processes and technologies.
  • Experience communicating with technicians and supporting teams, including process and equipment engineering.
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Inventory Management, 5S, Semiconductor Engineering, Hardware Manufacturing, Operations Management, Microelectronics Fabrication.
  • Experience working as a team leader, with excellent problem-solving and influencing skills.
About the job

The Semiconductor Fabrication Shift Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing all wafer fabrication process steps during their assigned shift, encompassing photolithography, etch, thin films, epitaxy, and metrology. This role requires a proactive approach to help the team to meet production goals and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) while maintaining the standards of safety and quality.

You will optimize daily work assignments, adjusting run priorities, and monitoring production data to address potential delays and allocate resources. You will identify and resolve production bottlenecks, contributing to key operational KPIs. You will advocate for continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging Lean, Six Sigma, and 5S methodologies, and participate in quality stand-ups. You will ensure a safe and compliant work environment, enforcing safety protocols and advocating for quality control. You will manage, mentor, and motivate a team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment, and will ensure communication and collaboration across all organizational levels to achieve operations. This is a leadership position requiring a presence on the cleanroom floor, engagement with the team, and a commitment to driving operational excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Manage wafer fabrication processes across all areas ensuring adherence to safety/quality standards while meeting production goals. Manage resources, address potential delays, and optimize daily assignments.
  • Enforce safety protocols, ensure regulatory compliance, and advocate for stringent quality control measures. Participate in/support root cause analyses for quality events and participate in quality stand-ups.
  • Manage a team of operators, technicians, and leads. Identify training needs, facilitate employee growth, and conduct performance evaluations with constructive feedback.
  • Monitor production data, identify bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and 5S methodologies. Contribute to key operational KPIs, such as cycle time and productivity, while promoting a culture of innovation/shared learning.
  • Communicate with all levels of the organization, building relationships with cross-functional teams.
