Job description

What are you going to do

• Manage the execution of all electrical commissioning activities to achieve the commissioning schedule on target with all safety requirements, especially during SIMOPS.
• Lead execution for electrical commissioning at site (onshore and offshore) and keep commissioning execution committed to targets defined by the project management.
• Monitor the Contractor’s electrical commissioning activities, ensuring adherence to the commissioning methodology and proper use of the system database.
• Interface with various project teams and departments to resolve related issues through effective communication, initiative, flexibility, and the ability to induce collaboration.
• Ensure readiness of the commissioning spare parts and special tools required for electrical packages.
• Apply all relevant safety and cybersecurity procedures during electrical commissioning activities (1st energization, LOTO, PTW, JSA).
• Maintain the lessons learned register for the electrical scope.
• Manage system completion, walkdowns, and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR) for electrical systems.
• Ensure the smooth integration of electrical systems of different platforms with the onshore (HV substation).
• Review and approve technical drawings, specifications, and submittals for electrical systems.

Essential skills and knowledge

• Bachelor’s degree in applied sciences or engineering.
• 8 years’ experience with large projects in the Oil and Gas industry, including 1 year in a supervisory role, including acting roles or oversight of service/vendor personnel.
• Expertise in reading P&IDs, Datasheets, General Arrangement drawings, and procedures.
• Knowledge of compliance with contract requirements, including codes and standards, and contract technical specifications.
• Experience with vendors operating in the LNG industry, such as compressors, power generation, control systems, topsides, etc.
• Experience working in large-scale operating organizations in Operations, Projects, Subsurface, etc.
• Knowledge in project execution, engineering, operations, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and systems completion.
• Experience managing commissioning execution and performing OTPs of all electrical facilities such as UPS, normal and emergency power distribution, subsea cables, umbilicals, and transformers.
• Experience in commissioning high voltage systems such as VSR and subsea power cables.
• Familiarity with LOTO procedures and electrical codes and standards.
• Experience handling EPC contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors.
• Application and in-depth knowledge of stakeholder specifications and a working knowledge of industry standards.
• Conversant with ATEX/IEC regulations.
