Job description

Department: Hotel Management

Location: Qatar - Doha

Description

Responsible for the overall success of the hotel, meeting or exceeding planned objectives for revenue and profit, and ensuring guest satisfaction and product quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate the work of process managers reporting to the GM.
  • Devise and plan company policies and discuss them with top management for final approval.
  • Develop operational guidelines for processes under his/her authority.
  • Set up an annual budget and fiscal plan, and present it to the board of the company.
  • Prepare detailed reports on departmental performance for review by top management.
  • Participate in recruiting and training managers.
  • Manage overall lodging arrangements of the hotel.
  • Initiate activities to improve customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure the hotel's quality standards are maintained according to LQA and company standards.
  • Hire and manage the management team.
  • Oversee hotel staff management.
  • Handle budgeting and financial management.
  • Create and enforce business objectives and goals.
  • Manage projects, renovations, emergencies, and other major issues involving guests, employees, or the facility.
  • Maintain public relations with media and local governments.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a General Manager in luxury hotel brands.
  • Experience in a resort property preferred.
  • Knowledge of Qatar and/or Middle East is advantageous.
