We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Planning Engineer to oversee project scheduling and progress control for a Roads and Infrastructure Project. The role involves programme analysis, progress verification, delay assessments, and aligning contractor performance with the approved baseline. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of post-graduate experience, including 7 years in planning and controls on large infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze contractor’s baseline programme, updates, and revisions, ensuring contractual compliance.
• Monitor project progress, identify delays, report deviations, and recommend mitigation actions.
• Conduct delay analysis, Time Impact Analysis (TIA), and Extension of Time (EOT) assessments.
• Maintain supervision team’s monitoring tools including look-ahead schedules, dashboards, and critical path trackers.
• Participate in coordination meetings, present schedule updates, performance metrics, and recovery plans.
• Coordinate with discipline engineers for progress, constraints, and resource inputs.
• Support Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting and project reviews in line with PMDS framework.
• Validate physical progress on-site and correlate with contractor’s programme updates.
• Develop and maintain reporting formats aligned with KPIs.
• Assist in contractual correspondence related to programme obligations.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (from WHED-listed university).
• Minimum 10 years total experience, with at least 7 in planning and controls for infrastructure/roads projects in Qatar.
• UPDA certification Grade A preferred.
• Excellent command of English (spoken and written).
• Expertise in Primavera P6, MS Project, Excel, and reporting tools like Power BI.
• Familiarity with document management systems, AutoCAD viewing, and site-related software.

Key Competencies:

• Advanced knowledge of planning and scheduling in civil infrastructure projects.
• Deep understanding of CPM, delay analysis, and risk management.
• Ability to work across multidisciplinary teams and communicate findings clearly.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with PMDS, reporting templates, and milestone tracking.
