Job description

  • Assist in designing and implementing evaluation frameworks/plans through conducting literature reviews and benchmarking.
  • Develop evaluation tools and processes grounded in best practices and effective methodologies.
  • Identify quantitative and qualitative data and develop appropriate data collection tools. Ensure and maintain the quality of data collected.
  • Conduct document reviews, benchmarking, field visits, and surveys to collect qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Perform analysis of evaluation findings using statistical software such as SPSS, Python, InVivo and other tools.
  • Prepare reports on evaluation findings and prepare presentations, briefs, and grey papers as required.
  • Build and sustain the knowledge generated by evaluations and ensure findings and recommendations are adopted and utilized.
  • Generate data visualizations using Power BI or other tools, for meetings, presentations, and knowledge products to maximize utilization of evaluation learning.
  • Support the Annual performance cycle through identifying KPIs that could be used for evaluation. In addition, ensure that evaluation findings inform planning cycle and new initiatives designs.
  • Carry out proactive data mining exercises to identify trends, patterns, knowledge gaps and potential programs, themes, focus area evaluations.
  • Build and update a repository of national/international and QRDI KPIs (KPIs Library). Collect and update all data needed for the different knowledge nexus project including the dashboards of the power bank, GII model, etc.
  • Prepare reports required by national and international stakeholders and maintain a log of all data requests received.
  • Identify, develop and deliver data-driven solutions that maximize knowledge management and learning.
  • Recommend initiatives that can help build an enhanced evaluation culture across QRDI, which strives for excellence and employs an open and transparent dialogue to discuss evaluation findings and recommendations.
  • Support capacity building activities and trainings on M&E
  • Other relevant tasks as assigned by the supervisor
  • Bachelor s degree in a relevant field of study & 2-5 years of relevant full-time work experience in a related field, preferably in monitoring and evaluation or research.
  • Demonstrated ability to be innovative, take the initiative and achieve objectives on time, on target, on budget
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Excel, MS Access and Power BI(or any other BI tool) is a must; proven technical expertise for managing data capture and storage, for analyzing diverse datasets (SPPSS or any other statistical package) and presenting information in understandable tables, charts, graphs and reports.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to develop and maintain effective business/team relationships; Good networking skills
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft and edit a variety of written reports and communications and to articulate ideas clearly and concisely; Arabic proficiency is an advantage
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, Business intelligence and data analytics applications.
