A leading company in the defense sector is seeking a qualified technician to maintain and repair electrical power generating systems. The role requires hands-on experience with Cummins generators and the ability to work from technical drawings. Candidates must have a high school diploma and relevant training, along with a minimum of four years of practical experience. The position also requires the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
The designee shall be qualified to maintain, modify, and repair electrical power generating and control systems, automatic transfer switches, and associated equipment. They will perform scheduled periodic maintenance on systems and components and adjust generator systems to maintain proper voltage, current, frequency, and synchronization. The role involves identifying, recording, and repairing generator malfunctions by removing, repairing, and replacing defective power generating components. The designee shall maintain systems such as, but not limited to, Cummins generator series DGDK, DSGAB, DGBB, C15D6, C35D6, 125D6D, MEPP series 1050, 1070A, PP-3106A, and Cummins Inpower software. They must be qualified to work from blueprints, drawings, and operate a variety of electrician's hand tools and testing instruments. Support for various generator systems is detailed in Tables 4.5.1 C2 Systems and Associated Support Equipment; 4.5.2 ATCALS Systems and Associated Support Equipment; 4.5.3 ATC Weather Systems and Associated Support Equipment; 4.5.4 C2 Air Control Squadron O&M Support; 4.5.5 Regional Maintenance Center O&M and Support Equipment.
Ability to obtain and maintain a US CENTCOM Medical Exam.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
