Job Description

The designee shall be qualified to maintain, modify, and repair electrical power generating and control systems, automatic transfer switches, and associated equipment. They will perform scheduled periodic maintenance on systems and components and adjust generator systems to maintain proper voltage, current, frequency, and synchronization. The role involves identifying, recording, and repairing generator malfunctions by removing, repairing, and replacing defective power generating components. The designee shall maintain systems such as, but not limited to, Cummins generator series DGDK, DSGAB, DGBB, C15D6, C35D6, 125D6D, MEPP series 1050, 1070A, PP-3106A, and Cummins Inpower software. They must be qualified to work from blueprints, drawings, and operate a variety of electrician's hand tools and testing instruments. Support for various generator systems is detailed in Tables 4.5.1 C2 Systems and Associated Support Equipment; 4.5.2 ATCALS Systems and Associated Support Equipment; 4.5.3 ATC Weather Systems and Associated Support Equipment; 4.5.4 C2 Air Control Squadron O&M Support; 4.5.5 Regional Maintenance Center O&M and Support Equipment.

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

• High School diploma or GED. Formal training on power generating equipment and associated equipment, such as military technical training, vocational college, or a four-year apprentice program, with experience in electrical power production maintenance and repair.
• At least four (4) years of practical experience with the equipment to be maintained. Six (6) months of experience with Cummins Commercial, Advanced Medium Mobile Power Source (AMMPS), and InPower Software is required.

Ability to obtain and maintain a US CENTCOM Medical Exam.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
