A leading multi - International Consultancy Company are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Contracts Manager to join our team for a major buildings project in East Africa - Rwanda. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing all contractual and commercial aspects of the project, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, minimizing risks, and maximizing value.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the preparation, negotiation, and administration of contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with contract terms, project specifications, and relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate potential contractual and commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide strategic advice on contract interpretation, claims, variations, and dispute resolution.
  • Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and cash flow to support project financial objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, procurement teams, and legal advisors.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Law, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in contract management within the construction industry, including substantial experience on buildings projects.
  • Proven track record working in international or remote project environments.
  • Strong knowledge of FIDIC and other standard forms of contract.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in English language.
