Job description

The Cleaning Technician (CT) is responsible for performing custodial services as specified in the Performance Work Statement for Base and Recreational Service areas such as Lodging facilities, Fitness Centers, Lounges, Community Activity Centers, Learning Resource Center, Media Center, Theaters, and Hospital Aseptic areas. The CT reports to the Lead Cleaning Technician and functions as a Facility Manager.

Responsibilities

1. Execute custodial services as outlined in the Performance Work Statement.
2. Communicate and uphold company standards, lead by example, work as a team, and maintain equipment and facilities.
3. Maintain a clean, neat, and professional appearance while ensuring facility and equipment conditions are satisfactory.
4. Monitor other country nationals per AFCENTI 32-1002 and obtain escort badges.
5. Perform custodial tasks including restroom cleaning, supply replenishment, floor and wall cleaning, light fixtures, mirrors, sinks, laundry rooms, furniture, dusting, outdoor patio cleaning, trash removal, refrigerator/microwave cleaning, linen sorting and resupply, and linen closet restocking as per PWS.
6. Serve as Facility Manager for assigned locations.
7. Provide on-call and additional cleaning services as needed.
8. Maintain a safe, clean, sanitary, and professional environment free of dust, clutter, and trash.
9. Follow a comprehensive, flexible, and well-documented training program.
10. Safeguard government and contractor property, including facilities, equipment, and tools.
11. Accurately report time and complete timesheets.
12. Perform as supplemental personnel across all Installation Service functional areas.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

1. High school diploma or equivalent; one-year related experience may substitute for one year of education.
2. Possession of an international driver’s license and ability to obtain an Air Force flight line driver’s license, capable of driving a manual transmission.
3. Valid U.S. SECRET or Interim Secret Security Clearance prior to deployment.
4. Fluent in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
5. Ability to pass employment and deployment qualifications, including medical, dental, drug testing, background checks, etc.
6. Complete CBRN defense training, including fit testing of protective gear.

Experience

1. At least one year of general cleaning experience.
2. Knowledge of fire prevention, safety standards, and security.
3. Experience with forklift operation and HAZMAT training is preferred.

Skills

1. Excellent communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
3. Willingness to work long hours to meet mission requirements.
4. Military experience in a contingency environment and familiarity with government contracts are preferred.
