Job summary

A leading company in Qatar is seeking an Accounting professional to provide back-office support and manage financial records. Job description

Job Responsibilities
  1. Provide back-office support within defined guidelines and procedures, with a moderate impact on stakeholder decisions.
  2. Contribute expertise in recording and maintaining books of accounts according to company policies and accounting standards to achieve short- and medium-term business goals.
  3. Ensure timely recording of transactions in the General Ledger and sub-ledgers, including special modules like HRMS and Telephone Module.
  4. Handle inventory costing processes.
  5. Prepare banking documents such as daily deposit slips, LCs, payments, and cheques.
  6. Record employee-related transactions timely in HRMS.
  7. Process payroll in coordination with HRMS and update employee accounts in GL/AR.
  8. Raise CAPEX requests and record asset purchases, disposals, transfers, and write-offs in the Fixed Assets Module.
  9. Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
  10. Conduct monthly general ledger and sub-ledger reconciliations.
  11. Assist in verifying inventory, cash, and fixed assets.
  12. Support the implementation of finance policies and procedures.
  13. Assist in implementing credit control policies.
  14. Manage petty cash where applicable.
  15. Perform any other functions assigned by the immediate supervisor related to the functional area.
Skills
  • Minimum university degree in Accounting & Commerce from a reputed university or partly qualified in professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, CA, CPA.
  • Age between 23 to 29 years.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar accounting environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Good business communication skills.
