Job Summary:



Highly skilled and experienced IT Senior Specialist to join our Enterprise Integration team within the bank’s Applications Department, focusing on Open Banking initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in enterprise integration, API development, and Open Banking standards, with a focus on delivering secure, scalable, and efficient solutions. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining integration platforms that enable seamless data exchange between the bank’s systems and third-party providers. The IT Senior Specialist will provide technical leadership, support, and guidance to junior team members and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that align with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:


System Integration and Development:


  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise integration solutions, focusing on Open Banking APIs and third-party integrations.
  • Implement and manage API gateways, ensuring secure and efficient data exchange between the bank’s systems and external partners.
  • Monitor integration performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimizations to enhance functionality and user experience.

Technical Leadership:


  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
  • Collaborate with the IT Manager to define technical strategies and roadmaps for enterprise integration and Open Banking initiatives.
  • Conduct code reviews, ensure adherence to best practices, and maintain high-quality standards in software development.

Project Delivery:


  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of IT projects related to enterprise integration and Open Banking, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders, product managers, and third-party providers to define technical requirements and deliverables.
  • Manage technical risks and issues, ensuring timely resolution and escalation when necessary.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement:


  • Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in Open Banking, API management, and enterprise integration, recommending innovative solutions to enhance the bank’s capabilities.
  • Drive the adoption of modern development practices, such as agile methodologies, DevOps, and cloud-based solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to increase efficiency and reduce operational costs.

Compliance and Security:


  • Ensure all integration solutions comply with relevant regulations, including PSD2, GDPR, and local banking laws.
  • Implement robust security measures to protect sensitive data and prevent unauthorized access.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities.

Vendor and Stakeholder Collaboration:


  • Collaborate with third-party vendors to integrate and support Open Banking solutions, ensuring high-quality delivery and adherence to SLAs.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, including business units, risk management, and compliance teams, to ensure alignment on technical priorities and deliverables.

Requirements

Qualifications:


Education:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.

Experience:


  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in IT, with a focus on enterprise integration, API development, and Open Banking within the banking or financial services industry.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing enterprise-level integration solutions and Open Banking APIs.
  • Strong knowledge of Open Banking standards and protocols (e.g., OAuth2, OpenID Connect, PSD2).
  • Experience with API management platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Apigee, Azure API Management) is highly desirable.

Technical Skills:


  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
  • Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server).
  • Knowledge of DevOps tools and practices (e.g., Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
