A leading company in the Oil and Gas sector is seeking a Laboratory Specialist to manage testing of hydrocarbon and wastewater samples. The role requires a B.Sc. in Chemistry and at least 5 years of experience in a laboratory setting, along with proficiency in relevant software and international standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in Oil and Gas laboratory.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Ability to work with laboratory software applications.

Responsibilities

• Organize and manage testing of hydrocarbon samples and wastewater.
• Issue test reports and Certificates of Quality (COQs) for refinery products.

Job description

Primary Purpose Of The Job

To efficiently organize and manage testing of routine and non-routine hydrocarbon samples(gas), water and wastewater samples received from various process units of the refinery, timely issuance of test reports and issue of COQs for the refinery products.

Required Experience And Skills

• Minimum experience of 5 years in Oil and Gas laboratory.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Computer literate and ability to work with different laboratory software applications (LIMS, RIS etc.) and SAP for materials and maintenance management
• Sound knowledge of applicable International Standards applicable in Refinery testing laboratory.
• Good knowledge of IMS requirements.
