JOB DESCRIPTION
An Executive Housekeeper is responsible for overseeing all housekeeping operations to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience while evaluating guest satisfaction and setting department targets and objectives.

As an Executive Housekeeper, you are responsible for overseeing all housekeeping/laundry operations to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience. You will evaluate guest satisfaction and set department targets and objectives. Specifically, your responsibilities include:

  1. Overseeing housekeeping and laundry operations
  2. Evaluating guest satisfaction levels and monitoring trends for continuous improvement
  3. Operating within departmental budgets through effective stock and cost controls and well-managed schedules
  4. Setting departmental targets, work schedules, budgets, policies, and procedures
  5. Inspecting fixtures, fittings, and appliances regularly to ensure standards compliance and taking corrective actions
  6. Monitoring the appearance, standards, and performance of the housekeeping/laundry team with an emphasis on training and teamwork
  7. Ensuring team members are knowledgeable about all room categories and amenities
  8. Maintaining good communication and work relationships across hotel departments and with external partners
  9. Ensuring staffing levels meet business demands
  10. Providing ongoing training and conducting communication meetings with documented minutes
  11. Managing staff performance issues in line with company policies
  12. Recruiting, managing, training, and developing the housekeeping/laundry team
  13. Being competent in property management systems
  14. Assisting other departments as necessary

To succeed in this role, candidates should demonstrate:

  • Pre-opening experience in upscale or luxury brands
  • Housekeeping/laundry experience in hospitality or retail sectors in managerial roles
  • Track record of managing large teams
  • High school certificate or equivalent
  • Strong commercial awareness and cost control skills
  • Experience managing departments and P&L accounts
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Commitment to high customer service standards
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational, budgeting, and problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility and grooming standards
  • Proficiency in property management systems is advantageous
