At Eni, we are looking for a Head of Operations Support (Drilling & Completion - Subsurface) within our Branch in Qatar. You will plan, coordinate, monitor, report on and advise all Shorebase support-related activities and requirements for the company's offshore operations, including Shorebase enhancement project activities and offshore operational needs. You will manage logistical support requirements for Drilling & Completions Operations to ensure operational continuity, robust business controls, and effective contract management.

Your employment contract will be managed by Eni International Resources Ltd (EIRL).

Main responsibilities:

  • Ensure effective safety procedures and standards are in place and actively followed by all personnel involved in Logistics Operations.
  • Advise the Offshore Logistics and Drilling & Completions (D&C) departments on optimal, cost-effective and safe logistical solutions for personnel transfers, cargo movements, truck operations at the Shorebase and Jetty, and the receipt and GRIC of well tangible equipment.
  • Represent the Company as the D&C representative at the Joint Marine & Port Logistics Operations Centre for marine activities.
  • Provide D&C input to contracts for marine vessels, shorebase services, rigging and jetty services, fuel and water supplies, cargo carrying units and offshore waste management, while continuously reviewing and optimizing support requirements for QG offshore logistics across operations, drilling, and project activities.
  • Support the Management System for managing offshore logistics processes related to Operations and Drilling marine and shorebase activities. Ensure alignment between the Offshore Logistics process and the Drilling & Completions L3 process.
  • Develop assumptions for forecasting and preparing the logistics budget for marine and shorebase support requirements for Operations and Drilling. Monitor the logistics budget through verification, cost allocation and approval processes.
  • Optimize goods receipt processes, including custodianship of drilling inventory. Monitor and coordinate audit requirements through regular reviews, and manage logistics activities by defining work priorities and rotational duties to maximize performance.
  • Support logistics policies, procedures and regulations governing Company marine and shorebase operations, and implement approved procedures aligned with recognized industry best practices.
  • Lead and coordinate the contractual, cost and project control teams and requirements. Identify and analyze deviations and trends against budgets, investigate discrepancies and collaborate with relevant teams to recommend corrective actions.
  • Lead and coordinate the timely preparation of D&C tender requirements, working closely with the Supply team to deliver a wide array of drilling contracts.

Skills and experience required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Logistics, Business Administration, or an equivalent field.
  • Extensive experience in supporting offshore drilling or project operations.
  • Experience in analysing and interpreting complex management information for a range of audiences.
  • Experience in tendering and contracting.
  • Strong exposure to and experience with quality management concepts.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Computer literacy, including proficiency in SAP.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the workforce.
