We are looking for a forward-thinking Emerging Tech Security Engineer to lead security initiatives across next-generation technologies such as AI/ML, blockchain, and IoT. This role is vital in ensuring secure design, deployment, and operation of innovative solutions, aligned with global and national cybersecurity standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct security assessments of emerging technologies in accordance with recognized cybersecurity frameworks and risk mitigation best practices.
- Develop and implement security frameworks tailored to AI/ML, blockchain, and IoT ecosystems, with a focus on automation, orchestration, and compliance.
- Collaborate closely with IT, DevOps, and product teams to embed security early in the development lifecycle, emphasizing secure coding, encryption, and communication protocols.
- Monitor emerging threats and vulnerabilities affecting new technologies, and provide strategic recommendations to enhance security posture.
- Engage with the cybersecurity community, including vendors and research groups, to gain insight into evolving attack vectors and countermeasures.
- Evaluate and test third-party technologies, tools, and systems for potential vulnerabilities, especially within blockchain networks and IoT infrastructures.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with direct exposure to AI, ML, blockchain, or IoT environments.
- Strong understanding of cryptographic principles, secure communication protocols, and risk assessment methodologies.
- Experience with cybersecurity frameworks and standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, or similar.
- Familiarity with security tools used for orchestration, automation, and vulnerability management.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or relevant emerging tech certs (e.g., Certified IoT Security Practitioner) are a plus.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
