Job description

As a Field Sales Account Manager you’ll provide technical and commercial support, optimize paint processes, manage customer accounts, and contribute to developing strategic business opportunities. Provide professional support to our customers by giving advice on technical issues, stock requirements, paint quality and processes, correct application of paints and supervision of the painting progress in order to achieve the optimum performance from our products and ensure end user satisfaction.

  • Deliver after sales support in line with strategy for all focus accounts & projects, ensuring customer satisfaction through rapid response and dedicated support.


  • Identify opportunities to optimize work processes and systems at customers, including equipment installation and modification, stock control and forecasting - ensuring customers are able to run more efficiently and improve their operations and Hempel Share of Wallet.


  • Ability to solve technical issues in both process and product within all focus product groups.


  • Co-ordinate with Hempel sales / customer service / Production and Logistics staff regarding projects and customer needs on site or in the field.


  • Proper reporting of jobs by preparing / keeping records Inspection Reports as per procedures


  • Provide inspection of painting process by carrying out on-site testing and quality control to ensure painting is according to specification and requirement to ensure customer satisfaction


  • Educate customers on paint application and usage, conduct training for applicator staff


  • Compile field reports and report on all non-conformities to protect Hempel and reduce risk exposure


  • Provide feedback to commercial team of potential opportunities and threats to increase sales & share of wallet


  • Build positive and mutually beneficial relationships at multiple levels and functions within customer accounts to support the development of joint projects, strategies and action plans


  • Support Sales Managers and customers by proactively answering questions and dealing with complaints when able, or taking ownership for resolution and feedback


  • Actively utilize relationships within customer to promote Hempel Paints and understand our profile against our competitors within their business


  • Assist with improving accuracy in demand planning for customers


What we’re looking for:


  • Bachelor Degree in relevant discipline is preferred


  • NACE/FROSIO certifications will be an added advantage


  • Ideal candidate will have around 4 years in field sales support role


  • Fluent in English and Arabic language will be an added value


  • Proficiency in MS-Office Suite and CRM
