The role will provide support to the
Typhoon Training Manager, undertaking a range of activities that support the
successful delivery of BAE Systems contractual Training responsibilities across
the Typhoon Availability Service Operation at Dukhan Air Force Base (AFB), in
Qatar.
This position is for an experienced Senior Training Support Officer with
a detailed understanding of the workings, systems, processes, and procedures within an aerospace maintenance training environment. The role holder should have experience in managing a Learning Management System (LMS), handling exams/assessments, and invigilation.
The role may require additional or alternative tasks, subject to holding the
appropriate qualifications.
Contracted Training Delivery
- Undertakes training support activities within the department to ensure the smooth operation of the Typhoon Training Facility (TTF), including liaising with internal and external stakeholders such as TTF Management, Instructors, Quality Assurance, IT staff, QEAF officers, and students.
- Manages and sets up electronic classrooms and training media, including TVMT (Typhoon Virtual Maintenance Trainer).
- Liaises with the Air Service to ensure availability of the Avionics Part Task Trainer.
- Creates, manages, and monitors documents to support governance requirements.
- Processes documents and information from various sources.
- Manages Export Control assurance and compliance, including reporting and liaising with the Export Control team.
- Investigates discrepancies and shortages related to products or services, possibly involving statistical data or document control.
- Prepares and produces routine reports, schedules, and summaries for review meetings.
- Manages departmental documents and filing systems for easy retrieval.
- Coordinates the Typhoon Q Type examination/assessment days, including preparation, invigilation, and problem resolution during/after exams.
Additional Responsibilities / Activities
- Coordinates internal and external meetings and manages customer relationships.
- Ensures compliance with BAE Systems Governance Framework, including LCM, BCM, IM, G&H, RDRM, Export Control, SHE, etc.
