Job description

Job Title: Technical Learning and Development Officers

We are seeking several Technical Learning and Development Officers for a key client in Doha, Qatar. These are permanent positions, with the client providing housing, transportation, an annual bonus, insurances, and annual leave.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Training Program Support: Support in planning and organizing technical learning, development, and training programs for existing employees both overseas and locally, based on identified needs and skills gaps.
  2. Training Material Development: Assist in developing training materials in coordination with internal teams and external subject matter experts.
  3. Development Programs Oversight: Oversee and manage development programs for newly recruited technical trainees from high school or technical diploma backgrounds, ensuring effective training and progression into skilled roles.
  4. Performance Monitoring: Monitor and report on trainee performance and attendance, coordinating with educational institutions such as QatarEnergy, College of North Atlantic - Qatar, Qatar Aeronautical College, and international institutions in the US, Australia, and UK.
  5. Training Logistics: Schedule training sessions, manage assessments, and handle scholarship payments, coordinating closely with educational institutes.
  6. Counseling and Disciplinary Actions: Manage daily counseling and disciplinary issues for trainees, collaborating with Employee Relations and Legal departments.
  7. Stakeholder Liaison: Liaise with training institutes, on-the-job training coordinators, and supervisors to design, plan, and review training programs to meet organizational skill requirements.
  8. Coordination and Collaboration: Work with the Learning & Development team and other departments to coordinate technical training programs and procedures.
  9. Financial Management: Track training expenses, resolve discrepancies, and process invoices through HRMS for timely payments.
  10. Logistics Management: Organize logistics for short-term training programs, including fees, visas, travel, and accommodations for overseas and local training.
