You will receive payments, issue receipts, count cash, maintain checkout areas, and assist customers with questions. This position requires the ability to work quickly and accurately in a busy setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
• Previous experience as a Cashier is highly preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent customer service skills.
• Working knowledge of cash handling procedures.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Receive payments by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers or automatic debits
• Issue receipts, refunds, credits or change due to customers
• Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change
• Establish or identify prices of goods, services or admission and tabulate bills using calculators, cash registers, or optical price scanners
• Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas
• Resolve customer complaints
• Bag items carefully
• Collect payments from customers
• Answer customers’ questions
