Job summary

Flyper in Doha, Qatar is seeking an experienced Optometrist to join our team. You will provide professional eye care services, including comprehensive eye exams and fitting/prescribing corrective lenses, while educating patients on contact lenses and vision products.

You will maintain accurate patient records, work full-time, and collaborate with healthcare professionals as needed. Foreign candidates are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Must have Bachelor's degree in Optometry or related medical field and at least two years' experience.
• Must hold a valid license from the Ministry of Health in Qatar to practice optometry.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with patients and healthcare professionals.
• Excellent written skills and accurate patient data entry into the database.
• Knowledgeable about safety procedures in optometry.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive eye exams, including diagnosing vision conditions such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, glaucoma and cataracts.
• Perform refractions to determine eyeglass prescriptions.
• Fit and adjust eyeglasses and contact lenses as needed.
• Educate patients on the proper use of contact lenses and other vision-related products such as reading glasses or sunglasses.
• Keep accurate patient records such as test results, medical history, medications prescribed or glasses fitted.
• Refer patients to other healthcare professionals when necessary for further diagnosis or treatment of ocular diseases or visual disorders.
