Responsibilities

• Assess the nutritional needs of patients based on medical history, physical examination, laboratory results, diet history, lifestyle assessment and any other relevant information
• Develop individualized nutrition plans that meet the patient’s needs
• Monitor patient progress toward the established goals
• Educate patients on healthy food choices and portion control
• Stay up-to-date on new developments in the field of nutrition
• Provide counseling for special diets such as vegetarianism or allergies
