• Create menus for daily specials as well as seasonal changes
• Manage kitchen staff, ensuring quality work is done in a timely manner
• Oversee food ordering and inventory management
• Ensure meals meet hygiene standards set by local health authorities
• Train kitchen staff in cooking techniques, flavor combinations, presentation methods, etc.
• Monitor food costs and make necessary adjustments to keep costs under control
• Ensure compliance with all local health codes and regulations
• Develop relationships with suppliers to ensure high quality ingredients are used in all dishes.
