Job summary

PPOAR in Doha, Qatar is seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our team. You will create furniture and build structures to high standards, work with various tools, and perform measurements and assembly in tight spaces.

This full-time role runs Monday to Friday with overtime as needed. Salary is negotiable but the listing notes 1300 QR per month. We welcome applicants from outside Qatar who may lack local experience.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in carpentry or similar role.
• Ability to read technical drawings and plans.
• Knowledge of carpentry techniques and power tool operation (saws).
• English proficiency preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Cut, shape and assemble wood components using hand tools and power tools
• Read blueprints, sketches or building plans to determine specifications
• Measure and mark cut lines on materials using a ruler or tape measure
• Assemble furniture frames using glue, screws or nails
• Install finished products such as doors, windows, shelves, trim and other features
• Repair damaged furniture or other wood structures by replacing broken parts or sections
• Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations
