Job summary

ConFlip in Doha, Qatar is seeking a skilled Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations, prepare financial statements, and ensure compliance with local laws. This is a contract position with potential extension.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, at least 3 years of accounting experience, and proficiency with QuickBooks or SAP. Collaboration across departments for budgets and forecasts is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience as an Accountant in a corporate or public accounting setting.
• Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, SAP).
• Strong understanding of local laws and regulations related to accounting practices in Qatar.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
• Prepare and present accurate financial statements and reports
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and discrepancies
• Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations
• Monitor cash flow and recommend strategies for improvement
• Collaborate with other departments to develop budgets and forecasts
• Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy of financial records
• Assist with tax filings and other government reporting requirements
• Provide support during external audits
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement necessary changes
