Job summary

Work standard is seeking an experienced Accountant to join its Doha office. You will maintain financial records of the company’s transactions, prepare financial reports and support month-end close processes.

You should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, at least 3 years’ experience, and strong skills with Excel, Word and QuickBooks, plus solid analytical and communication abilities to support budgeting and forecasting activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
• At least 3 years' experience in a similar role preferred.
• Sound knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency with accounting software, MS Office Suite (Excel, Word) & QuickBooks required.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate books of accounts and financial records of the company.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with accepted accounting principles.
• Generate monthly, quarterly and annual reports for management review.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards and other general ledger activities.
• Ensure that all payments are accurate and timely.
• Assist with the preparation of year-end tax returns.
• Monitor cash flow and provide forecasting analysis.
• Provide support on budgeting activities and cost control measures.
