Job summary

A leading consultancy firm in Doha is seeking a Document Controller to manage document processes and provide administrative support. The ideal candidate has over 8 years of experience, strong teamwork skills, and is fluent in English. Understanding of Qatar and GCC culture is essential for this role.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in similar roles at large companies.
  • 3+ years in positions of increasing managerial responsibilities.
  • Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus.

Overview

Linum Consult’s client is a major international company working within the energy sector. They are currently seeking a Document Controller to be based in their Doha office.

Responsibilities
  • Managing the document control process, including the creation, revision, approval, distribution, and archiving of documents
  • Sending and tracking transmittals from external parties, recording the references of the transmittals, and keeping a copy of the documents transmitted
  • Reviewing and consolidating feedback from multiple team members while ensuring consistency and an absence of errors / duplicates
  • Tracking progress and pending actions and reporting the status to the Line Manager
  • Providing secretarial support to management and staff, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and handling correspondence
  • Making travel arrangements including organising flight tickets and travel visas
Profile
  • Degree qualification in Business Administration
  • At least 8 years’ experience in similar roles in large companies, with a minimum of 3 years in positions of increasing managerial responsibilities
  • Strong collaborative and teamwork skills, with the ability to work with key stakeholders, senior executives, and external partners
  • Fluent in English and preferably Arabic as well
  • Currently working in Doha, with a good understanding of Qatar and GCC culture & working environment
