Job description

The Digital Multimedia Specialist for the Media Majlis at Northwest Qatar will be working closely with the Manager of Digital Content to produce, film, and edit multimedia collaterals for Media Majlis digital accounts, programs, branding, and exhibition build. The multimedia specialist will closely align with the communications strategy to achieve departmental objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Edit, produce, and film multimedia content for exhibition development, social media, and programs for the museum.
• Ideate and brainstorm social media collaterals with the wider team and propose a plan of action for created content.
• Involvement with contractors in providing creative direction and project managing deliverables for exhibition development.
• Graphic design tasks as assigned by the team.
• Subtitling, transcribing, and optimizing content for exhibition and programs.
• Managing and developing a digital archive for the museum.
• Brand development with created content and branding elements that aid in the visibility of the museum's brand.
• Film and photograph activations and events for the museum.
• Project manage exhibitions' social media channels and calendar.
• Take lead in programs of exhibitions by stakeholder management and relationships.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certifications, Skills)

• Northwestern University alumna / US.
• Graduated from bachelor’s or master’s program within the last five years.
• Strong English oral and written communication, reading, and public speaking skills.
• Skilled in film production.
• Skilled in Adobe Creative Cloud suite.
• Experienced in animation, VFX, and 2D rendering.
• Experienced in photography and branding.
• Basic knowledge of integrated marketing and communication plan.
• Must be able to relate positively to a variety of cultures and backgrounds.
• Tact, diplomacy, and discretion are essential in the ideal candidate.
• Familiarity with GCC member nations.
• Previous experience in pre-college, foundation, or other similar university preparation program(s).
• Must have worked with several brands across the country/region.
• Must have social media content creation experience.

Preferred Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certifications, Skills)

• Previous experience in NU-Q’s pre-college program(s).
• Strong Arabic oral and written communication, reading, and public speaking skills.
• Oral and written communication, reading, and public speaking skills in a third language spoken in the region (e.g., Armenian, Berber, French, Farsi, Hindi, Turkish, Urdu).
• Prior experience working with high school students in Qatar, GCC, and/or the MENA region.
• Knowledge of Blender, Adobe Creative Cloud, and DaVinci.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively balance working in a team environment while working independently.
• Project management of deliverables and tasks, especially with short deadlines.

Target Hiring Range

Target hiring range for this position will be between $65,124 to $81,405 per year. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
