Qatar Airways Group invites applications for a Development Engineer Level 2 (IFE & Connectivity) in the CAMO Engineering department, based in Doha, Qatar. You will review airworthiness requirements and implement solutions to maintain reliability and cost efficiency, supporting internal and external customers with technical queries and deviations.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with at least 4 years of related experience, proficiency with IFE systems, and experience using industry tools

Formación

• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 4 years of job-related experience.
• Experience in airworthiness/reliability/technical support in a continuing airworthiness maintenance organization of a reputed airline.
• IFE & Connectivity working experience.
• Experience using Airman, Airbus World, My Boeing Fleet, Airplane Health Management, Maintenance Performance Toolbox, OEM System Monitoring tools.
• Experience using Airbus Technical Request and Boeing Service Request applications.
• Experience working in AMOS is an advantage.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate airworthiness documents from authorities, manufacturers, or vendors and act promptly.
• Evaluate proposals and retrofit orders and advise on changes.
• Analyze reliability data to propose solutions and implement plans.
• Support maintenance in resolving defects and deviations to certified data.
• Investigate TORs/MORs/ASRs and implement corrective actions.
• Communicate with vendors and internal teams on technical/project issues.
• Review industry experience to improve service levels and reliability.
• Prepare product specifications and assist in RFI/RFP for new components or upgrades.
• Review engineering drawings for accuracy before embodiment.

About the Role:

Qatar Airways are pleased to announce an opportunity to join CAMO Engineering department as Development Engineer Level 2 (IFE & Connectivity), based in Doha, Qatar.

On this role you will ensure that all applicable continuing airworthiness requirements (with regards to QCAA approved CAMO) are reviewed and implemented. You will review reliability alerts related to aircraft systems, components or aircraft dispatch and analyse, identify solutions and propose implementation plans to maintain optimum level of reliability and cost levels. You will assist Maintenance section and other internal and external customers in resolving technical queries, and repetitive defects. You will be initiating and processing deviations to certified aircraft configuration or approved maintenance data.

Accountabilities include but not limited to:

• Evaluate Airworthiness and other Service Documentation (AD/CN/SB/SIL/OIT/AOTNSB/TFU/FTD) issued by airworthiness authorities, aircraft manufacturers or vendors and take necessary actions in a timely manner (e.g. issue EO, ESWC, CMA, TN, recommend amendments to technical publications, Aircraft Maintenance Program).
• Evaluate technical and commercial proposals, retrofit Modification Orders and Corporate Engineering Change requests and make recommendations.
• Evaluate, analyse and find or create solutions to problems related to components and systems that exceed alert levels in Reliability Reports, Issue necessary technical documentation and co-ordinate with various inhouse departments, vendors and manufacturers as needed to define or implement solutions
• Assist maintenance in resolving repeated defects and other technical issues e.g. AOG support, clarification of technical data, processing of deviations to certified configuration or approved data etc.
• Perform technical investigations into TORs/MORs/ASRs recommend/implement corrective and preventative measures as required.
• Communicate with manufacturer's vendors and internal departments/sections on technical and project issues as required from time to time and assist Aircraft Program Section in technical matters.
• Review industry experience related to aircraft and components in service and utilize such knowledge to enhance service levels and reliability. Attend conferences, workshops and meetings as needed.
• Prepare product specification and assist commercial department in preparing Request for Information, Request for Proposal and purchase agreement documents for selection of a new components and systems or upgrade of such systems.
• Review engineering data and drawings for accuracy before embodiment.
• Evaluate technical specifications of new and used aircraft and equipment for possible induction; define the layout and specification to satisfy Qatar airways and regulatory requirements.
• Assist other sections in commercial evaluation and assessment of expenditure using superior product knowledge and experience to ensure company interests are fully protected.

About You:
