DB Engineering & Consulting seeks a Data Science Manager to lead the Transport Data Management System and data platforms in Qatar. You will oversee data collection, governance, and analytics to support MOT decision-making across GIS, modelling, and planning teams.

The role requires a Master’s level education and a decade of experience in data analytics, governance, and digital transformation, with strong leadership and stakeholder skills. Qatar-based position with international exposure.

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in data analytics, data management, BI, or transport data systems.
• Proven track record leading large-scale data management, analytics, or digital transformation projects.
• Strong expertise in data governance, data quality management, metadata standards, and information management frameworks.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the development, implementation, and enhancement of the Transport Data Management System and data platforms.
• Manage data collection, integration, validation, governance, and quality across multiple sources.
• Develop analytics frameworks, monitoring systems, and KPI dashboards to support MOT decisions.
• Oversee data models, BI tools, and reporting for transport planning and operations.
• Coordinate with GIS, transport modelling, traffic engineering, and planning teams for data integration.
• Establish data standards, metadata management, and governance procedures.
• Support transport strategy through advanced analytics, forecasting, trend analysis, and insights.
• Engage MOT stakeholders and external agencies to facilitate data sharing and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of the Transport Data Management System (TDMS) and associated data platforms.
• Manage transport data collection, integration, validation, governance, and quality assurance across multiple data sources.
• Develop data analytics frameworks, performance monitoring systems, and KPI dashboards to support MOT decision-making.
• Oversee the design and deployment of data models, business intelligence tools, and reporting solutions for transport planning and operations.
• Coordinate with GIS, transport modelling, traffic engineering, and strategic planning teams to ensure seamless data integration and utilization.
• Establish data standards, metadata management practices, and data governance procedures to ensure consistency and reliability.
• Support transport strategy development through advanced analytics, forecasting, trend analysis, and evidence-based insights.
• Engage with MOT stakeholders and external agencies to facilitate data sharing, reporting, and continuous improvement of transport data capabilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Transportation Planning, or a related discipline; Master’s degree preferred.

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in data analytics, data management, business intelligence, or transport data systems.
• Demonstrated experience leading large-scale data management, analytics, or digital transformation projects.
• Strong expertise in data governance, data quality management, metadata standards, and information management frameworks.
• Proven experience developing KPI frameworks, dashboards, performance monitoring systems, and decision-support tools.
• Proficiency in data analytics, statistical analysis, database management, and business intelligence platforms.
• Experience working with transport, mobility, infrastructure, or government-sector data environments; GCC experience is desirable.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multidisciplinary technical teams and complex data initiatives.
