About Our Client

Our client is a Large Holding Company in Qatar with diversified interests - they have more than 50 companies under their umbrella and employ over professionals. They are recruiting a Group CFO to manage their portfolio of investments and overall profitability of the organisation.

Job Description

  1. Business partner with the CEO and the board to develop and oversee the Group's financial strategy
  2. Conduct due diligence for new investments, acquisitions, disposals, and ad-hoc projects
  3. Create budgets and financial projections in accordance with the business plan
  4. Develop and implement internal controls to ensure efficient financial operations as per industry standards
  5. Implement efficient technology wherever required to drive business value in alignment with the Group's goal
  6. Ensure that financial policies adhere to both national and global standards
  7. Maintain control over taxation, accounting, and finance to guarantee accurate and timely reporting
  8. Verify the accuracy of internal reports and financial accounts
  9. Oversee yearly audits and report financial findings to the board
  10. Partner effectively with banks, government agencies, and finance bodies
  11. Ensure that information is accessible on digital platforms
  12. Lead learning and development of direct reports and performance management of the overall team
  13. Identify and manage principal business risks while ensuring compliance with legal requirements

The Successful Applicant

  1. Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  2. Professional accounting qualifications such as ACCA, CMA, CPA, CIMA, or CA are a huge added advantage
