Job summary

RemoteConnect is seeking a Crane Operator in Doha with at least 2 years of crane experience to operate mobile, tower, and overhead cranes on construction sites. The role requires strict adherence to safety protocols, routine pre-operational checks, and clear communication with the team to ensure safe, efficient material handling.

The ideal candidate can read blueprints, work as part of a tight-knit team, and perform basic crane maintenance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience operating cranes on construction sites.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training preferred.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and crane operation procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints for material placement.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Physical fitness to climb ladders and operate controls for extended periods.
• Valid crane operator certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate various types of cranes, such as mobile, tower, and overhead cranes, to lift and move heavy materials on construction sites
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures while operating the crane to ensure the safety of yourself and others
• Conduct pre-operational checks on the crane before each use to ensure it is in good working condition
• Communicate effectively with other team members on the ground to ensure safe movement of materials
• Maintain accurate records of daily operations, including materials lifted, time spent on tasks, and any incidents or accidents that may occur
• Perform routine maintenance on the crane as needed to keep it in good working condition
• Report any mechanical issues or malfunctions immediately to the supervisor
