Linum Consult’s client is a major international company. They are currently seeking a Cost Estimation Engineer to be based in their head office in Doha, Qatar.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing, reviewing, and coordinating cost estimates for all phases, ensuring alignment with budgets, forecasts, and contract requirements
  • Delivering reliable cost estimates benchmarked against historical data and market trends, validated through collaboration with the engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams
  • Developing, maintaining, and regularly updating a structured cost database containing historical project data, unit rates, productivity norms, and vendor/supplier pricing
  • Evaluating the cost impacts of scope changes, variation orders, and non-conformance reports (NCRs)
  • Supporting senior estimators with reporting and maintaining detailed records

Profile

  • Degree qualification in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or other relevant subject
  • At least 7 years’ experience in similar roles in large companies, with a minimum of 3 years in major projects
  • Excellent knowledge of SAP or Oracle systems
  • Strong collaborative and teamwork skills, with the ability to work with key stakeholders, senior executives, and external partners
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
