JOB SUMMARY

The Marketing Assistant Manager is part of an important team that creates and executes property-level communications to our customers. Under the leadership of the Manager of Marketing and Communication, this role promotes on-brand messaging through traditional, digital, and social media channels to enhance the hotel's image. Responsibilities include building marketing plans, targeted campaigns, and activating channels to drive consumer awareness, increase market share, and build brand awareness. The role also involves collaborating with regional eCommerce and Marketing teams to ensure local, social, and digital marketing efforts are integrated with sales initiatives.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration, or related major, with 2 years of experience in sales, marketing, digital, or related fields; hospitality marketing or digital advertising experience preferred.
  • Alternatively, a 4-year bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business, or related major with no work experience required.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Hotel Marketing and Advertising

  1. Assist with executing the annual marketing plan within the budget.
  2. Support Operations, Food & Beverage, and Sales teams in executing promotions and campaigns targeting in-house guests to drive revenue.
  3. Collaborate with advertising agencies on creative and media plans for food and beverage promotions.
  4. Manage F&B media schedules, email marketing, and display advertising.
  5. Monitor online programs and initiatives, providing performance updates and identifying opportunities and issues.
  6. Ensure digital advertising aligns with brand voice.

Social Media Content Management

  1. Support engagement and content updates on local digital channels, including the hotel website and travel sites.
  2. Assist with digital and social media promotions for F&B, weddings, spa, rooms, and conferences.
  3. Manage online reputation by monitoring guest comments and responding appropriately.

Public Relations and Visual Asset Management

  1. Participate in quarterly PR planning with agencies.
  2. Maintain a list of local media contacts, focusing on food critics and bloggers.
  3. Manage media accounts and assist with press releases for events and promotions.
  4. Support hotel-sponsored events, community relations, and press activities.
  5. Coordinate photography and manage external vendors and media agencies.

Direct Marketing and Collateral Development

  1. Assist with the production and coordination of printed marketing materials.
  2. Manage inventory and filing of collateral.
  3. Support the production of signage and direct marketing activities, ensuring brand compliance.

General

  1. Support the development and execution of all communication activities.
  2. Assist with newsletter publication and other communication duties.
  3. Coordinate F&B promotions and website updates.
  4. Provide marketing support to GMs, sales, and revenue teams.
  5. Stay informed on industry trends and competition.
  6. Perform other duties as assigned.
