Job description

Our client is currently looking for a skilled and knowledgeable Cardiology Consultant specialist. As a cardiology consultant, you will be responsible for providing expert cardiology care and consultancy to our clients.

As a cardiology consultant, you will play a key role in diagnosing and treating various cardiovascular conditions. You will evaluate patients, perform diagnostic tests, develop personalised treatment plans, and collaborate with healthcare teams to optimise patient care. Your expertise and dedication will contribute to improving the cardiovascular health and wellbeing of our clients.

With 240 single private suites, 10 operating rooms, and 23 Intensive Care beds, they provide primary, secondary, and tertiary healthcare services. Our Operating Rooms are equipped with the most advanced technology, allowing them to do minimally invasive surgery and imaging during operations. The facility is also equipped with the Da Vinci and Artis pheno robotic equipment which is more precise and enables quicker surgery with fewer complications resulting in a faster recovery.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patients' medical history, symptoms and conduct comprehensive cardiovascular examinations.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as electrocardiograms (ECGs), echocardiograms and stress tests.
  • Diagnose and treat various cardiovascular conditions, including heart diseases, arrhythmias, and heart failure.
  • Develop personalised treatment plans based on the patient's condition and needs.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements and research in cardiology through continuous learning and professional development.

Education Requirements:

  • Graduate degree in Medicine and Surgery like MBBS, MBBCh (Essential).
  • Western Board certified in Cardiology and eligible for Consultant License in the State of Qatar as per MoPH criteria (Essential) at least 12 months duration from one of the Category 1 Western countries.
  • US Board / CCT in Cardiology or equivalent specialist training certificate (Category 1).

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a full-time Consultant Cardiologist position, with a minimum of 1 year experience in a government, semi-government, or a teaching hospital.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in GCC (preferred).
  • Preferably Arabic speaking candidates.

Requirements:

  • Medical degree and valid license to practice as a cardiology consultant.
  • Board certificate in cardiology.
  • Proven experience in diagnosing and treating various cardiovascular conditions.
  • In-depth knowledge of cardiology diagnostic tests and treatment options.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and healthcare professionals.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple cases.
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills specific to cardiology.
