Job summary

A leading company in Qatar is seeking an E&I Supervisor to oversee installation activities of Electrical and Instrumentation packages. You will ensure compliance with project specifications and manage pre-commissioning and commissioning activities. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and a minimum of 8 years experience in the Oil & Gas industry.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years experience in control systems or electrical systems.
  • Proven expertise in E&I equipment installation and commissioning.
  • Experience in Oil & Gas or Industrial Gas projects is preferred.

Job description

Supervise and inspect the installation activities of Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) packages, ensuring support for pre-commissioning and commissioning activities. This role is integral to the Construction Management team, ensuring technical objectives align with the project's approved scope, budget, and schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision and quality assurance for E&I equipment installation during the construction phase.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, schedules, procedures, and local statutory regulations.
  • Monitor implementation of the Project Quality Plan and issue non-conformances when detected.
  • Oversee planning, scheduling, and monitoring of E&I construction activities.
  • Prepare progress reports and participate in review meetings.
  • Liaise with operations, maintenance teams, contractors, and suppliers to resolve issues and provide advice.
  • Participate in incident investigations and root cause analyses.
  • Manage pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for seamless process facility startups.

Qualifications & Experience

Education :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering (or equivalent).

Experience :

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in control systems or electrical systems within EPC organizations or process plant maintenance.
  • Proven expertise in E&I equipment installation, pre-commissioning, and commissioning of process plants, preferably in Oil & Gas or Industrial Gas projects.
