Qualifications

• Experience in providing caregiving services is an asset but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and socialization to patients.
• Monitor patient health conditions and report changes to the nurse or doctor.
• Prepare meals according to dietary requirements and administer medication as prescribed by the doctor or nurse.
• Ensure that patients’ personal hygiene needs are met by providing assistance with bathing, dressing, toileting, etc.
• Assist with light housekeeping duties related to patient care such as laundry, dishes and tidying up rooms.
• Provide transportation for patient appointments when necessary.
