The Commercial Director is responsible for developing a comprehensive commercial strategy across all segments and channels to maximize revenue, profit, and market share for the hotel.

What will I be doing?

The Commercial Director will lead the planning and execution of the commercial strategy in the EMEA region, supporting teams in Revenue Management, Sales, Catering and Events, Marketing, eCommerce, and Public Relations. The role involves collaboration with area support teams, sharing F&B commercial activities with the F&B Manager, Director of Operations, GM, and other leaders.

This role acts as a role model for the commercial community within the hotel portfolio, developing teams and individuals, and acting as a key business partner to the Hotel General Manager. The Director will help hotels maximize value from HiltonSales teams, foster customer relationships, and serve as an ambassador for Hilton with owners and stakeholders.

The role ensures that commercial management strategies are aligned across all revenue streams, utilizing systems effectively to optimize revenue from rooms, meeting spaces, outlets, and other departments. The Director will lead, coach, develop, recruit, and retain talent, managing performance based on KPIs and working within a 4D structure on property.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Driving top-line revenue and forecasts through strategic planning and execution, covering all revenue streams including Rooms, GC&E, F&B, Leisure, and Spa, with cost controls and marketing opportunities.
  2. Collaborating with GM, Finance, and Operations to maximize profits in line with TGOP and EBITDA targets.
  3. Implementing pricing and rate strategies to maximize sales and market share.
  4. Supporting marketing, sales, and PR activities at the hotel level and liaising with regional teams for optimal performance.
  5. Working with Revenue Managers to optimize demand, forecast, and pricing strategies.
  6. Building strong relationships with stakeholders, owners, and support teams to ensure commercial success.
  7. Presenting strategies to regional teams and stakeholders.
  8. Adhering to Hilton brand standards and reviewing market trends for strategy adjustments.
  9. Participating in leadership activities within the hotel and region.

What are we looking for?

Ideal candidates will have:

  • At least 3 years of hospitality/travel industry experience in revenue or commercial roles.
  • Experience presenting to senior executives and working in collaborative environments.
  • Experience managing sales or commercial teams.

Additional advantageous experience includes:

  • Multi-property hotel or travel industry background.
  • Knowledge of Marketing, E-commerce, and Finance.
  • Proficiency in local language.
