Job summary

A.G. Enterprises in Qatar is seeking a CNC Tool Room Technician for a leading industrial group. You will prepare, assemble and preset cutting tools, ensure correct tool setup for CNC Lathes, VMCs and HMCs, and monitor tool life to minimize downtime.

The role requires a Diploma or ITI and 4–6 years of practical CNC machining experience. The position offers 6 days a week, 8 hours plus overtime, with accommodation, transport and medical insurance provided by the company.

Qualifications

• Diploma or ITI qualification required with CNC machining experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and process sheets.
• Experience setting up tooling, tool life management and tool offsets.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for tooling and machining issues.
• Knowledge of feeds, speeds and cutting conditions is essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, assemble, and preset cutting tools, holders, drills, taps and special tooling.
• Set and verify tooling for CNC Lathes, VMCs, HMCs and other centers.
• Monitor tool wear and replace cutting tools during production.
• Troubleshoot tooling issues to improve surface finish and accuracy.
• Coordinate with engineers and operators to resolve tooling problems.
• Maintain tooling records, tool-life data, setup sheets and history.
• Ensure availability of tooling and coordinate with Tool Store.
• Support improvements to reduce cycle time, tooling costs and improve OEE.
• Maintain high safety, quality and productivity standards.

Role & responsibilities - We are hiring CNC Tool Room Technician for a leading Industrial group of Co in Qatar.

Qualification - Diploma / ITI

Experience - 4 - 6 yrs with practical CNC machining experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, assemble, and preset cutting tools, tool holders, boring bars, drills, taps, reamers, and special tooling.
• Set and verify tooling for CNC Lathes, VMCs, HMCs, and other machining centers.
• Verify tool readiness and minimize machine setup and downtime.
• Monitor tool wear and tool life during production and replace cutting tools when required.
• Troubleshoot tooling-related issues, including poor surface finish, dimensional deviations, chatter, and excessive tool wear.
• Coordinate with Process Engineers, Production Engineers, Supervisors, and Operators to resolve tooling and machining issues.
• Maintain tooling records, tool-life data, setup sheets, and tooling change history.
• Ensure availability of required tooling and coordinate with the Tool Store.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing cycle time, tooling costs, and improving OEE.
• Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and productivity.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong knowledge of CNC turning and milling operations.
• Practical experience with cutting tools, inserts, tool holders, boring bars, drills, and taps.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and process sheets.
• Knowledge of tool offset setting, tool presetting, tool life management, and tool selection.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of machining parameters, including feeds, speeds, and cutting conditions.
• Experience in oil & gas, valves, flanges, pipes, or precision engineering machining will be an advantage.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary Range - QAR 3000 3500 (Based on Experience shared during Online Zoom interview with the Client).

• Duty Hrs - 8 hours + over time
