Job summary

Swan Global seeks an experienced Civil Foreman to oversee civil and structural works at the project site in Doha, Qatar.

You will supervise day-to-day on-site activities, manage manpower, ensure safety and quality, and support the Site Engineer in executing construction tasks per drawings and schedules.

The ideal candidate has a Diploma or Certificate in Civil Engineering with 5+ years of foreman experience on infrastructure or oil & gas projects, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Civil Foreman in construction or oil & gas projects.
• Knowledge of concrete works, formwork, rebar fixing, finishing and earthworks.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and project specifications.
• Familiarity with QA/QC standards and site safety regulations.
• Strong leadership and communication with focus on productivity and quality.
• Physically fit to supervise field activities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily civil and structural construction activities on-site.
• Assign tasks to masons, carpenters, steel fixers, and laborers.
• Ensure work aligns with approved drawings, specifications, and safety standards.
• Monitor progress and report daily updates to Site Engineer / Construction Manager.
• Check material quality and workmanship to meet project requirements.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and layouts.
• Maintain housekeeping, material storage and site organization.
• Coordinate with trades to avoid conflicts and ensure smooth workflow.
• Identify and report technical or safety issues immediately to supervisor.
• Conduct toolbox talks and enforce HSE procedures at all times.
