voco Doha Central is seeking a Chef de Partie in Pastry & Bakery to craft exceptional pastries and desserts for our upcoming hotel in Doha. You will lead the pastry section, maintain high standards, and collaborate with the culinary team to deliver memorable guest experiences.

The role requires prior Chef de Partie experience in pastry, strong baking skills, and a commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Chef de Partie in Pastry and Bakery in a hotel, resort, or upscale setting.
• Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, baking methods, bread production, and dessert presentation.
• Passion for creativity and attention to detail.
• Good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Positive attitude and team-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present a variety of pastries, desserts, breads, and bakery items to high quality standards.
• Manage the pastry and bakery section to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Support development of innovative dessert menus and seasonal offerings.
• Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management and ordering.
• Ensure HACCP, food safety, sanitation, and hygiene compliance.
• Minimize food waste and support cost control initiatives.
• Assist with banquet, catering, and special events.

Every day is different,but you’ll mostly be:

• Preparing and presenting a variety of pastries, desserts, cakes, breads, and bakery items to the highest quality standards
• Managing the pastry and bakery section to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations
• Supporting the development of innovative dessert menus and seasonal offerings
• Maintaining consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control
• Monitoring stock levels and assisting with inventory management and ordering
• Ensuring compliance with HACCP, food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards
• Minimizing food waste and contributing to effective cost control initiatives
• Assisting with banquet, catering, and special event requirements
• Training and mentoring junior kitchen colleagues within the pastry and bakery section
• Collaborating with the culinary team to create memorable dining experiences for guests

What we need from you

• Previous experience as a Chef de Partie in Pastry and Bakery, or similar role in a hotel, resort, or upscale culinary environment
• Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, baking methods, bread production, and dessert presentation
• Passion for creativity and attention to detail
• Good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Positive attitude and team-oriented approach
• Relevant culinary qualifications or professional training preferred
