Job summary

Sendian Group is seeking an experienced CCTV Draftsman in Doha, Qatar to produce MOI-compliant layouts, shop drawings, and as-built documentation for CCTV and security projects. You will ensure accurate camera placement, plan routing, and coordination with architecture, MEP, and ICT teams.

The ideal candidate has 4–5 years of MOI CCTV project experience, strong AutoCAD skills, and familiarity with Revit/BIM. Arabic is an advantage; immediate joining in Qatar is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related discipline.
• 4-5 years of CCTV/ELV drafting experience, preferably in Qatar.
• Proven MOI CCTV project experience is highly preferred.
• Strong MOI procedures, drawing submissions, and approval process knowledge.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory; Revit/BIM is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of IP CCTV systems and surveillance architecture.
• Ability to prepare layouts, schematics, riser diagrams, shop drawings, and as-built drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple submissions within deadlines.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Candidates currently in Qatar with immediate joining.

Responsibilities

• Prepare CCTV layouts, shop drawings, schematics, riser diagrams, and cable routing drawings.
• Prepare documentation for MOI submissions and approvals.
• Prepare and revise drawings for MOI/SSD submissions and approvals.
• Ensure correct camera positioning, coverage, and field of view.
• Show cameras, NVRs, switches, racks, control rooms, cabling, and CCTV infrastructure.
• Coordinate CCTV drawings with architectural, electrical, MEP, ICT, and other drawings to avoid clashes.
• Review project specs, BOQs, consultant drawings, and site requirements.
• Incorporate MOI and client comments into revised submissions.
• Conduct site visits and measurements when required for accuracy.
• Prepare As-Built drawings from completed installations.
• Maintain drawing registers, revisions, and submission records.
• Coordinate with CCTV engineers, project managers, site teams, and stakeholders.
• Support project execution, testing, commissioning, inspection, and handover.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced CCTV Draftsman with strong knowledge of Qatar Ministry of Interior (MOI) requirements and procedures for CCTV and security surveillance projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate CCTV layouts, shop drawings, schematic diagrams, authority submission drawings, and as-built documentation in accordance with approved project specifications and MOI requirements.

The ideal candidate must have 4-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in Qatar, with hands-on involvement in MOI-related CCTV projects from design and submission through approval and as-built documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed CCTV layouts, shop drawings, schematic diagrams, riser diagrams, and cable routing drawings.
• Prepare drawings and technical documentation in accordance with Qatar MOI CCTV requirements and procedures.
• Prepare and revise drawings required for MOI/SSD submissions and approvals, as applicable to the project.
• Ensure correct camera positioning, coverage, field of view, and identification of required surveillance areas.
• Prepare drawings showing cameras, NVRs, switches, racks, control rooms, cabling, containment, and related CCTV infrastructure.
• Coordinate CCTV drawings with architectural, electrical, MEP, ICT, and other project drawings to avoid clashes.
• Review project specifications, BOQs, consultant drawings, and site requirements before preparing drawings.
• Incorporate comments from MOI, consultants, clients, and project engineers into revised submissions.
• Conduct site visits and measurements when required to verify actual site conditions.
• Prepare As-Built drawings based on completed site installations and approved modifications.
• Maintain proper drawing registers, revisions, submission records, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate closely with CCTV engineers, project managers, site teams, consultants, and other stakeholders.
• Support technical teams during project execution, testing, commissioning, inspection, and handover.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4-5 years of experience as a CCTV/ELV Draftsman.
• Proven Qatar experience with MOI CCTV projects is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of MOI procedures, CCTV project requirements, drawing submissions, comments, revisions, and approval processes.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory.
• Experience with Revit/BIM is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of IP CCTV and surveillance system architecture, including cameras, NVRs, storage, network switches, racks, and structured cabling.
• Ability to prepare CCTV layouts, schematics, riser diagrams, shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings.
• Good understanding of camera coverage, viewing angles, installation locations, and surveillance requirements.
• Experience coordinating drawings with MEP, architectural, electrical, and ICT disciplines.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple drawing submissions within deadlines.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Fluency in English is required; Arabic is an advantage.
