Job summary

PPOAR in Doha, Qatar is seeking a Cashier to join our team for unskilled workers. The role emphasizes accurate payments, friendly service, and efficient checkout.

You will handle cash and card payments, issue receipts, greet customers, count cash drawers, maintain a clean checkout area, resolve basic issues, and may cross-sell products. English proficiency and flexible availability are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in cashier or customer service preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent customer service track record.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; English proficiency required.
• Ability to work flexible hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Receive payments from customers in cash, checks, credit/debit cards or other forms of payment.
• Issue receipts, refunds, credits or change due to customers.
• Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure amounts are correct and that there is adequate change.
• Greet customers when entering or leaving establishments.
• Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas.
• Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information.
• Bag merchandise properly and collect proper payment for goods.
• Cross-sell products and introduce new ones.
