Job summary

Mindrift is seeking a Biology & Python Expert to design and validate computational biology problems for AI training projects. You will craft scenarios requiring Python programming to solve complex biology workflows using standard libraries, ensuring problems are intensive and research-grade.

This is project-based, remote work with international opportunities, and compensation up to $35 per hour depending on level and pace. Part-time commitment aligns with active project phases.

Qualifications

• Degree in Biology or related fields.
• 2+ years of professional experience: applied, research, or teaching experience is applicable.
• Experience with biological data analysis and algorithms.
• Familiarity with bioinformatics tools and computational methods.
• Strong written English (C1+)

Responsibilities

• Design original computational biology problems that simulate real biology research workflows; Create problems requiring Python programming to solve (using Numpy, Sci Py, Bio Python); Ensure problems are computationally intensive and cannot be solved manually within reasonable timeframes (days/weeks); Develop problems requiring non-trivial reasoning chains in bioinformatics, systems biology, and molecular modeling; Base problems on real research challenges or practical applications from biology practice; Verify solutions using Python with standard computational biology libraries; Document problem statements clearly and provide verified correct answers
