Job summary

Work standard is seeking a Barista for its coffee shop in Doha, Qatar. The ideal candidate has a passion for coffee, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Experience with espresso-based drinks and POS operations is preferred.

We value accuracy in orders, friendly communication, and a willingness to learn. Immigrant candidates will be considered.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience as a Barista or in a similar role.
• Extensive knowledge of coffee preparation methods (espresso, cappuccino etc).
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with customers.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of accuracy when taking orders and making drinks.
• Ability to handle money accurately and operate POS systems efficiently.
• Certified Barista training is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve espresso-based coffee drinks, tea, and other beverages.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation.
• Provide friendly, attentive customer service and build rapport with customers.
• Take orders accurately and process payments using POS systems.
• Collaborate with team in a fast-paced coffee shop environment.
