Job summary

QNB Group is seeking a senior Data Scientist to drive advanced analytics and AI initiatives across the bank. You will partner with business and operations leaders to deliver strategic insights using ML, deep learning, and Gen AI, while guiding the development of AI capabilities and dashboards for decision-making.

You will design predictive and prescriptive models, ensure model validation, and help embed AI across functions, aligning with risk and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• University graduate preferably with a major in computer science, data science, software engineering, information systems, or a related quantitative field.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in data science or related roles.
• PhD in statistics, ML, computer science or related natural sciences desirable.
• Specialization in ML, AI, cognitive science, or data science with hands-on ML/LLM work.
• Strong knowledge and implementation experience on LLM-based solutions.
• Cloud technologies and Python, with full stack engineering experience are a must.

Responsibilities

• Implement KPIs and monitor data & AI-driven solutions to measure impact on business outcomes.
• Promote cost consciousness and efficiency in Data Analytics and AI projects to maximize returns.
• Coordinate approval from the EVP Data & Analytics for projects that affect capital or operating expenditures.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and implement advanced data-driven AI solutions that deliver value.
• Ensure activities comply with SLAs and provide timely data to auditors, compliance, and risk teams.
