Qualifications

• Must have strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of automotive systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals.
• Willingness to stay updated with emerging automotive technologies and trends.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic tests to identify vehicle malfunctions and determine root cause.
• Inspect vehicles to assess condition and identify future problems.
• Repair and replace malfunctioning components such as engines, brakes, transmissions, suspension and electrical systems.
• Perform routine maintenance: oil changes, tire rotations, filter replacements.
• Maintain records of all maintenance and repairs with detailed notes on parts and labor hours.
• Collaborate with parts department to source and order parts.
• Ensure safe disposal of hazardous materials and maintain a clean work area.
• Provide guidance to apprentices as needed.
