Job summary

GREENLAND GROUP is seeking an experienced Electrical & Electronic Engineer to design, install and maintain industrial automation systems in our Qatar facility. You will troubleshoot PLC/SCADA/HMI and other control systems, monitor automation equipment for steel production, and lead preventive maintenance activities.

The role requires a strong background in electrical & electronic engineering, knowledge of PLCs (Allen-Bradley preferred), SCADA and control-system design, and adherence to safety

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in electrical & electronic engineering.
• Bachelors degree in electrical & electronic engineering.
• Knowledge of industrial automation, PLC/SCADA concepts and control systems.
• Familiarity with safety procedures and company standards.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, commission, operate, and maintain industrial automation and control systems.
• Troubleshoot PLC, SCADA, HMI, DCS, and other automated control systems.
• Monitor and maintain automation equipment used in steel production and processing operations.
• Diagnose electrical, instrumentation, and control-system faults and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and modify PLC programs, control logic, and HMI/SCADA applications when required.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of automation systems and field instruments.
• Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and production teams to ensure smooth plant operations.
• Analyze system alarms, process data, and equipment performance to improve reliability and productivity.
• Ensure automation systems comply with technical specifications, safety procedures, and company standards.
• Maintain technical documentation, maintenance records, system backups, and modification reports.
