Job summary

Doha Golf Club is seeking an Assistant Technician to support the maintenance team in preventive and corrective activities across building facilities, equipment, and systems. You will assist technicians with inspections, repairs, troubleshooting, and ensuring facility services operate safely and efficiently.

This role requires basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems, the ability to read simple drawings, and a willingness to work shifts, weekends, or respond to emergency

Qualifications

• Technical certification preferred.
• GCC or hospitality facilities experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform shifting/emergency tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior technicians in daily maintenance and repair works.
• Carry out basic troubleshooting and repair of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Perform routine inspections and report faults or abnormalities.
• Support preventive maintenance per schedules.
• Assist in installation, replacement, and servicing of facility equipment.
• Attend maintenance requests and breakdown calls as instructed.
• Ensure work areas are clean and safe after tasks.
• Follow safety procedures, permits, and company policies.

Job Summary The Assistant Technician will support the maintenance team in carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance activities for building facilities, equipment, and systems. The role involves assisting technicians with inspections, repairs, troubleshooting, and ensuring all facility services operate safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior technicians in daily maintenance activities and repair works.
• Carry out basic troubleshooting and repair of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Perform routine inspections of building equipment and report any faults or abnormalities.
• Support preventive maintenance activities as per scheduled maintenance plans.
• Assist in installation, replacement, and servicing of facility equipment and components.
• Attend maintenance requests and breakdown calls as instructed by supervisors.
• Ensure work areas are kept clean and safe after completing tasks.
• Follow safety procedures, permit requirements, and company policies during all maintenance activities.
• Record completed work and report technical issues to the supervisor.
• Provide support during emergency maintenance situations when required.

Technical Skills & Knowledge

• Basic knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and general building maintenance.
• Ability to use basic hand tools and maintenance equipment.
• Understanding of safety procedures and maintenance practices.
• Ability to read basic technical drawings and equipment manuals is an advantage.

Qualifications & Experience

• Technical Certification in Mechanical, Electrical, or related fields preferred.
• Experience in the GCC or hospitality facilities is preferred.

Working Conditions

• Work may require standing for long periods and working in different areas of the facility.
• May be required to work shifts, weekends, or respond to emergency maintenance calls when needed.
