Job Opportunity: Counterintelligence Specialist

This is an opportunity to provide your expertise to Major Commands and Combatant Commands across all military branches.

Position Requirements
  1. Army CI credentialing course such as CI Special Agent Course (CISAC) or other accredited DoD CI credentialing courses like Advanced Foreign CI Training Course (AFCITC), MAGTF CI/HUMINT Basic Course, or NCIS Special Agent Basic Training Program (SABTP).
  2. Eight years of experience with former MOS 35L, 351L, 97B, 35E, or civilian equivalents such as 1810/1811/0132, 18F, or other Service equivalents like USAF 7S091, USMC 0211, or other DoD Joint Service codes.
  3. If holding 35M, 351M, 97E, or USAF 1N791, waiver possible with at least two years of experience as a Mid-level CISS.
  4. Graduates from the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center's Criminal Investigator Training Programs may be considered on a case-by-case basis for waivers.
  5. Five years of operational experience in coordinating CI operations, with knowledge of Army/Joint CI procedures, doctrine, and practices.
  6. Knowledge of Army/Joint Counterintelligence regulations and legal limits.
  7. Basic knowledge of CI analysis, data mining, and DoD intelligence systems.
  8. Experience working with interpreters, conducting interviews, and solicitation techniques.
  9. Understanding of CI principles and methods, including developing screening and debriefing plans, and conducting screenings, interviews, and debriefings.
  10. Ability to brief senior leadership at the O6 level.
  11. Experience in evaluating information for further investigation, deployment experience, and supporting CI operations.
  12. Proficiency in writing and reviewing military reports.
  13. Ability to qualify with M4 rifle and M9/M17/M18 pistol, carry a 60-lb pack, and use basic military marksmanship standards.
Highly Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Dari or Pashto languages.
  • Familiarity with foreign cultures within the Area of Responsibility (AOR).
  • Experience with CI systems and databases such as PCASS, CELLEX, BI2R, TCOP, HOT-R.
  • Tactical deployment CI experience.
