Job description

Overview

Accountable for the end-to-end solutions and provision of technical leadership to ensure compliance with, security, scalability, flexibility, maintainability and other non-functional requirements.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for articulating the architectural vision, conceptualizing and experimenting with alternative architectural approaches, creating models and component and interface specification documents, and validating the architecture against requirements and assumptions.
• Be the technical interface to suppliers and customers during phases of a project and to coordinate with KM relative department all technical issues related to AMI Operation and maintenance.
• Presentation of complex technical solutions to both technical and non technical audiences.
• Continuously expand his knowledge & specialization of technology & design patterns and products.
• Review designers, recommend development, identify and understand technical opportunities, constraints and issues with a solution given existing components in place.
• IT strategic development and planning, portfolio management and future expansions directions.
• To coordinate the planning, design, and installation equipment in an industrial environment, using knowledge of engineering and programming as well as sophisticated instruments and computers.
• Data migration and system integration.
• Gathering requirements, writing specifications and test plans.
• Performs other related duties as needed upon request by the immediate supervisor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent
• Minimum 8 years experience, with at least two years in applications /software /solutions architectures engineering.
• Development experience in C#, Java and MySQL database
• Experience with serial interfaces (RS232, SPI) Asset) Experience with Embedded firmware in C
• (Asset) Experience with ZigBee, WiFi, Z-Wave applications
• (Asset) Previous Support and FAE experience
• (Asset) Experience with a bug tracking system
