Qualifications

  • Construction industry experience is mandatory.
  • Applicant must be locally available in Qatar.
  • Must hold a valid Freelance Visa.

Responsibilities

  • Install, test, maintain, and repair airfield lighting systems and associated high-voltage electrical power and distribution equipment.
  • Perform work on electrical systems above 600 volts, following approved safety procedures.
  • Install, service, and repair generators, transformers, switchboards, control panels, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, and conduit systems.
  • Carry out fault diagnosis and troubleshooting on airfield lighting and power distribution systems.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, layouts, and technical specifications.
  • Perform electrical load calculations and verify wiring and equipment capacity.
  • Use electrician hand tools and measuring and testing instruments such as multimeters, insulation testers, and high-voltage test equipment.
  • Ensure all work complies with electrical codes, aviation standards, project specifications, and site safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with project teams to support construction and maintenance activities.
  • Maintain proper documentation, inspection records, and maintenance reports.
  • Strong knowledge of airfield lighting systems and high-voltage electrical installations.
  • Sound understanding of electrical safety standards for systems above 600V.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical and basic electronic control circuits.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and hands-on technical skills.
  • Familiarity with construction site safety and aviation-related electrical systems.
